Café/bar extensive internal refurbishments to a listed building.
Amici Developments is proud to unveil the successful completion of an extensive internal refurbishment at Don Paddy’s – a much-loved bar and kitchen nestled in the heart of Uppingham.
Set within a beautiful Grade II listed building, the project called for a sensitive and considered approach. Our brief was to breathe new life into the interior while preserving the character and charm that locals and visitors alike have come to associate with this historic space.
Working closely with the client and design team, Amici managed the project from initial planning through to final finishes. The scope of work included structural alterations, specialist joinery, bespoke fittings, and complete mechanical and electrical upgrades. All works were carried out with full consideration for listed building regulations, ensuring that heritage features such as exposed beams, original floors, and period cornicing were carefully preserved or sympathetically restored.
The result is a warm, stylish and modern interior that retains the soul of the original building. With improved lighting, seating, flow, and acoustics, the newly refurbished Don Paddy’s is ready to welcome guests in comfort – whether it’s for a morning coffee or a lively evening service.
This project is a shining example of Amici’s craftsmanship and commitment to excellence in the refurbishment of heritage properties. We’re proud to have played a part in ensuring that Don Paddy’s continues to serve the Uppingham community for years to come.
