Oak and glass staircase installation
Amici Developments recently completed the installation of a bespoke oak and glass staircase at The Old Stone Barn — a unique project that combined traditional materials with modern design in a character-filled setting.
The brief was to create a statement staircase that would sit comfortably within the barn’s rustic interior while adding a clean, contemporary edge. The result is a stunning centrepiece that enhances both form and function.
Crafted from solid oak and paired with toughened glass balustrades, the staircase brings warmth, light, and elegance to the space. The natural grain of the timber complements the original stonework, while the frameless glass allows light to flow freely throughout the interior, preserving the barn’s open and airy feel.
Precision was key. Our team ensured every detail — from jointing and finish to tread depth and safety compliance — was executed to the highest standard. The staircase was fabricated off-site and installed with minimal disruption, fitting perfectly within the existing layout.
This project reflects Amici’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Whether it’s a full-scale renovation or a standout architectural feature, we take pride in delivering bespoke solutions that respect a building’s heritage while embracing modern aesthetics.
